Getting Ready for Learning

I don’t know about where you live but here in Ontario, in the last couple of weeks we have been roasting without much relief. I have been busy getting ready for a week long jewellery course that I will be going to in Haliburton, Ontario. I am working on combining pendants and beads in porcelain into work with silver.

When I did the garden tour, a few weeks back, there was a lot of interest in the pieces that I had used Queen Anne’s Lace in, so I thought I would make some pieces. It is such a hardy flower and when I remove it from the clay, it leaves a beautifully detailed imprint.

I have developed a keen interest in lampwork beads. Perhaps that will be next summers course. In the meantime, I am planning on taking some awesome beads with me made by Melissa of Six Baby Girls on Etsy. You can check out her work here.
